Mandalas are a fun circular design that can support the life-death-life cycle played out in ritual holidays such as Halloween and Dia de los Muertos.

The Halloween season encompasses themes of Harvest and the Day of the Dead, El Día de los Muertos. The mandala symbolizes wholeness. The Sanskrit word, mandala, includes the concepts of "essence," "containing," "circle," "cycle," and "closure." These concepts are relevant to the life-death-life cycle of which Halloween, Harvest, and Day of the Dead are a part.

You can learn more about mandalas on Printable and Online Mandala Coloring Pages and more about El Día de los Muertos on Halloween and Day of the Dead Printables and Activities.
